About
As Dogus Teknoloji we can participate in this call as a technology developer. The end result of SOLARPULSE (see above) is scalable and can be leveraged to create innovative applications within the scope of this call. The current Technology Readiness Level of this solution is estimated to be between 5 and 6.
We propose two alternatives for this call. The first potential contribution involves extending the SOLARPULSE solution to off-shore environments by integrating region-specific data. The models will allow the stakeholders to assess renewable energy production potential in selected areas and facilitate advanced impact analyses, including
-
Alternative 1: Energy Yield and Performance Modeling
-
Developing a predictive model for floating or nearshore solar panels that forecast the energy yield potentials for selected areas
-
This model will allow the stakeholders to compare and assess the relative value of different off-shore sites in terms of their
-
The second alternative focuses on assessing the environmental effects of the off-shore PV systems
-
Alternative 2: Environmental Effects
- Marine Environmental Effects: Via collecting the available sensor data and combining it with remote-sensing based satellite data, we can perform a quantitative assessment of the environmental effects of PV systems, focusing on potential impacts on carbon life-cycle, marine biodiversity, currents, and water quality for different offshore/nearshore PV system architectures and mooring solutions.
We aim to satisfy the below scope/outcomes of the call:
· A comprehensive (system) modelling for an accurate and reliable energy yield assessment with comparable methodologies for biodiversity, plant-yield and quality in the case of agriPV, as well as power generation.
