About

LiYF 2G Bioethanol Technology

LiYF has developed an advanced second-generation (2G) bioethanol technology that efficiently converts agricultural waste into high-yield, low-cost biofuel, eliminating the reliance on food crops. This process enhances ethanol production while significantly reducing enzyme costs, energy consumption, and carbon emissions.

The technology is built around two key innovations:

  1. Ultrasonic Baffled Hydrothermal (UBH) Reactor:

    • Improves pretreatment efficiency by 40%, breaking down tough lignocellulosic biomass more effectively.

    • Enhances cellulose exposure for fermentation, resulting in higher sugar release and ethanol yields.

    • Operates with lower energy input, reducing processing costs.

  2. Thermosiphon System:

    • Reduces distillation energy consumption by optimizing heat transfer and recovery.

    • Supports continuous ethanol production, ensuring a stable and efficient process.

Unique Advantages of LiYF’s Technology

  • 70% lower enzyme costs through optimized enzymatic hydrolysis, reducing a major industry bottleneck.

  • 50% lower feedstock costs by using non-food biomass instead of expensive crop-based inputs.

  • 35% reduction in energy consumption, cutting operational expenses.

  • 20% higher ethanol yield per ton of biomass, improving overall production efficiency.

  • Integrated carbon capture, enabling nearly 1:1 CO₂ removal per ton of ethanol produced, making the process significantly more sustainable.
