Invitation to Participate - PhD Research on Conservation Policy in the UK & UK Overseas Territories
Youth Ambassador at Sustainable Cayman
Cayman Islands
About
I am a PhD researcher at the University of Essex conducting research on how marine conservation approaches , specifically nature protection (e.g., marine protected areas) and nature restoration (e.g., habitat restoration projects), affect both ecological outcomes and social equity in the United Kingdom and UK Overseas Territories.
Given your experience at this Summit, I would greatly value your perspectives on how conservation policies are designed, implemented, and experienced in your context.
Participation would involve:
-
A one-to-one interview (approximately 45 - 60 minutes)
-
Conducted online (Zoom/Teams) or in person where appropriate
-
A discussion of conservation decision-making, participation, benefits and burdens, and perceptions of fairness
This research forms part of my PhD at the University of Essex. Participation is entirely voluntary. All information will be anonymised, and you may withdraw at any time before data analysis begins.
If you would be willing to participate or would like further information, please feel free to reply to this request.
