About

We are building a Horizon Europe project consortium to develop end user-driven Generative AI solutions that support the daily management of chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This initiative focuses on co-creating AI tools with patients, clinicians, and caregivers to enhance self-management, clinical decision-making, and personalised care.

Potential applications include:

  • AI-generated personalised health insights from real-world data

  • Virtual coaching for treatment adherence and behaviour change

  • AI-assisted remote monitoring and early warning systems

  • Generative interfaces for simplified communication between patients and healthcare professionals

We welcome partners with expertise in:

  • Chronic disease management (clinical or digital)

  • Generative AI development and explainability

  • Patient engagement and participatory design

  • Regulatory, ethical, and data governance aspects

  • Health systems and implementation science

Our goal is to ensure GenAI innovations are not only technically advanced—but also safe, human-centred, and truly useful to those living with chronic conditions.
