CEDIMED Brussels is looking for consortium for AI in pandemics & End user-driven application of Gen AI in healthcare
About
CEDIMED Brussels is the Centre of Excellence in Emergency and Disaster Medicine based at the University Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussel) and affiliated with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Under the leadership of Professor Doctor Ives Hubloue, our Centre of Excellence is dedicated to shaping the future of emergency care through the integration of clinical practice in our emergency department, education, research, and innovation.
Our areas of expertise include:
Clinical Excellence: Our Emergency Department provides fast, patient-centered emergency medical services, including pre-hospital interventions and interhospital critical-care transport.
Research: Our research group ReGEDiM conducts research to address challenges in health care, more specific in Disaster Medicine, Mass gatherings, Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Critical Care Transport, Remote Health Monitoring, Emergency Medicine, Education and Training in Emergency and Disaster Medicine (including new educational methodologies such as simulation, XR, AI, etc) and Disaster Management. Education: Offer internationally recognized training programmes in emergency and disaster medicine (like European Master in Disaster Medicine), leveraging simulation and blended-learning methods.
Innovation: Enhance disaster medical response and healthcare sustainability by implementing and testing new technologies (Telemedicine and the Ambulance of the Future). We are also a partner in the consortium of the ongoing EU Horizon ESCORT-project. We would be primarily interested to participate in a Horizon project as a contributor but by the end of next week, we might decide to write a project proposal ourselves. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.
Keep us in mind for the following calls if you would need us as a partner in a EU-consortium; and we are also open to exploring other opportunities for collaboration.
