Fernando Martín Gordillo, PhD, is an entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of experience in scientific instrumentation, innovation ecosystems, and business development. He is the founder and director of Galileo Scientific, a European company that provides validated, warranty-backed refurbished lab equipment to life science and agri-food laboratories with limited budgets. The company combines expert consulting with AI-powered automation and is currently expanding operations in Portugal, France, and Poland.
Previously, Fernando held senior roles in applied research and tech-based entrepreneurship. As Business Development & R&D Director at Valoralia I+D, he led biomedical and renewable energy projects, securing funding, designing experiments, and launching lab operations. At the Madrid Science Park, he served as Business Development Director, managing the startup incubator, structuring support services for biotech companies, and representing the institution nationally and internationally.
He also worked as a professor and consultant at EOI – Escuela de Organización Industrial, training entrepreneurs in science-based business creation. Earlier in his career, he founded Interaxn, S.L., a startup awarded first prize for Best Business Plan by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
