TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM), one of Türkiye’s leading public research organizations. Established in 1972, TÜBİTAK MAM is dedicated to applied research and development aligned with national priorities and global scientific and technological advances, carrying out interdisciplinary research in close collaboration with national and international partners.

We would be pleased to explore potential collaboration opportunities with you and your organization, building on our complementary expertise and shared interests in environmental, life-science-based, and applied research domains.

In this context, several of our research teams may offer strong and relevant contributions:

• Biotechnology Research Team, with extensive expertise in environmental biotechnology, microbial ecology, and molecular and omics-based approaches for bioremediation and pollutant–microorganism interactions, including the isolation and functional characterization of bacteria, fungi, microalgae, and microbial consortia.

• Water Management Research Team, with more than 15 years of experience in water resources and basin management, wastewater treatment, and pollutant monitoring. The team operates accredited laboratories capable of analysing approximately 250 specific pollutants and 45 priority substances under the EU Water Framework Directive, including ultra-trace PFAS analysis using state-of-the-art LC-MS/MS systems.

In addition, our Marine Research and Technologies Research Team contributes expertise in marine and coastal ecosystems, water quality monitoring, applied oceanography, GIS-based analyses, and remote sensing technologies.

This interdisciplinary structure enables TÜBİTAK MAM to deliver biologically grounded, environmentally responsible, and application-oriented solutions, and to engage effectively in international research and innovation partnerships.

At the European and international level, TÜBİTAK MAM is an active member of several key platforms and networks, including Water Europe, the European Marine Board, the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR), and the Blue Flag Programme in Türkiye. Furthermore, TÜBİTAK MAM serves as the national focal point of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) under the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism and actively participates in CTCN Advisory Board meetings and COP processes.
