Head of Department/ Assoc. Prof. Dr.

I am Assoc. Prof. Dr. Merivan Şaşmaz Güldal, an experimental physicist working in the Department of Electricity and Energy at Adıyaman University, where I currently serve as the Head of the Department. My academic and research background is rooted in experimental physics, with a strong emphasis on applied electricity and energy systems.

I teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, covering both fundamental physics and applied energy‑related subjects. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I have been actively involved in numerous national and international research projects, including European Union–funded projects, where I have contributed in both technical and project management roles.

My professional experience combines hands‑on experimental research, physical systems development, project coordination, and academic leadership. Through my work, I aim to contribute to high‑quality education, interdisciplinary research, and the advancement of electricity, energy, and applied physics fields.
