About
Environ Living Labs (ELL) is an emerging, place-based Living Lab concept focused on environmental sustainability and resilient rural communities. It brings together citizens, civil society organisations, municipalities, companies, environmental experts and researchers to identify needs and co-create, test and evaluate solutions in real-life settings.ELL has a particular interest in improving knowledge and data flows between citizen-driven environmental monitoring, professional analysis and public decision-making. Water quality monitoring is currently being explored as a practical case for understanding how local observations and environmental data can become reliable, accessible and useful to municipalities and other public actors.ELL offers expertise in needs-driven Living Lab processes, citizen engagement, co-creation, environmental data collection and collaboration across organisational and sectoral boundaries. We are interested in working with other Living Labs, research organisations, SMEs, municipalities and civil society organisations. We seek international partners for joint project proposals, comparative research, pilot activities and the development of digital tools and scalable Living Lab services. We are open to both project-based cooperation and longer-term strategic partnerships.
