I am Kala Timalsina with 15 years of experience in the energy and environment sector. Currently I am serving as the Chair of the Women Network for Energy and Environment (WoNEE)Nepal, a national network dedicated to empowering grassroots women in enhancing their skills and knowledge for economic development. My involvement extends to analyzing Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) perspectives in project formulation, implementation, and monitoring.
I have knowledge in the gender and energy-related policies of Nepal, consistently advocating for gender issues within policy frameworks. My role as a GESI expert involves conducting gender assessments for various organizations, showcasing the commitment to fostering inclusivity. I have been at the forefront of community awareness campaigns addressing diverse issues within the energy and environment sector. I have worked in various national and international project as team leader such as , Hydrogen Empowered Hydroelectric Grids (HyHEG) under Energy Catalyst Round 11, USAID Urja Nepal, Morden Energy Services Center (MECS), Hivos Energia, APWLD .
