Energy Catalyst R11 (Early Stage) – ODA Colombia: safe, replicable biogas→electricity

About

Collaborative project focused on clean energy access in Colombia (ODA‑eligible). BioPower Pig already operates on a farm: continuous‑flow digester fed by 33 pigs, low‑cost conditioning and a biogas‑adapted Bauker generator (4 hp, ~3 kW nominal) typically ~2 kW. Early Stage will transition this into a replicable kit by designing and validating a safe low‑pressure biogas buffer, implementing protection and load management to reduce peak‑related shutdowns, and deploying minimum instrumentation (pressure, hours, power, events) for traceability and O&M. The project includes an end‑user pilot with an integrated GEDSI package (participation, training, safety and equitable benefit sharing). Outcome: complete documentation (BOM, manuals, SOPs), verified performance and ODA impact evidence, and a platform for Mid/Late Stage scaling.
