Energy catalyst round 11 – early stage
About
My name is Alex Florez, and I am writing on behalf of EVERYTECH SAS, a Colombian organisation developing a proposal for the Energy Catalyst Round 11 – Early Stage competition. We are currently preparing a project to install solar energy systems for rural communities in the departments of Sucre, Choco and Córdoba, Colombia, which were severely impacted by the environmental emergency that occurred in February 2026.
The aim of our project is to deploy decentralised solar solutions that will provide reliable and sustainable access to electricity for these vulnerable communities, support the restoration of livelihoods, and enhance local climate resilience. We also envisage integrating monitoring solutions and productive-use applications tailored to the local context.
In order to meet the eligibility requirements for this competition, we understand that we need to partner with at least one UK-based small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) that can serve as the lead or co-applicant for the proposal. With this in mind, we are seeking your assistance in identifying or being connected with UK companies in the renewable energy sector — particularly those with expertise in solar technology, energy access, energy storage, or smart grids — that may be interested in collaborating with us on this initiative.
We believe this project represents a compelling opportunity for a UK partner to engage in a socially impactful and scalable clean energy intervention, with clear potential for carbon reduction and community benefit.
If possible, we would be grateful for any recommendations of UK SMEs who may be interested in this collaboration, or guidance on how best to connect with suitable organisations.
I would be happy to provide a brief concept note or to arrange a call to discuss the project in more detail at your convenience.
