Fundacja Veolia Polska

Veolia Foundation Poland is a corporate foundation based in Warsaw, working on environmental education and cooperation with municipalities, utilities and local communities.

We are interested in joining a POLNORIS consortium as a non-academic practice partner. We seek projects in which stakeholder engagement, environmental education and the practical use of research results contribute to addressing urban environmental challenges.

Our areas of interest include:
• urban green transition and climate resilience;
• energy and water management;
• circular economy and waste prevention;
• cooperation between municipalities, utilities and communities;
• decision-making, knowledge exchange and learning between cities.

Our potential contribution to a consortium includes:
• identifying practical needs and implementation barriers through dialogue with local stakeholders;
• helping engage municipalities, utilities and community organisations;
• coordinating workshops, learning activities and stakeholder consultations;
• supporting pilot activities and collecting feedback from practitioners;
• developing educational materials and communicating research results to non-academic audiences.

Through our Education Centre initiative, we are developing an approach that combines a diagnosis of a municipal environmental challenge, learning from a reference city and facilitated work on practical next steps. We are interested in collaborating with researchers to refine and evaluate this approach.

We are looking for research organisations and companies developing POLNORIS proposals that need a partner connecting research with municipal practice. We would particularly welcome collaboration with Polish project coordinators and research partners from Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein.

The Foundation’s role, work packages and budget would be developed jointly with the consortium. Participation of specific municipalities or utilities, access to data and pilot sites, and any financial or in-kind commitments would require separate confirmation. The Foundation does not represent commitments by other Veolia Group entities.
