About
SolveLi is a Polish deep-tech company developing selective molecular extraction technologies for lithium and other critical raw materials. Our expertise covers solid–liquid extraction (SLE), liquid–liquid extraction (LLE), supramolecular extractants, selective metal separation and the development of scalable separation processes.
The company builds on research carried out at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (IOC PAS). Our lithium extraction technology is supported by peer-reviewed research published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (DOI: 10.1002/anie.3249075), patent applications and semi-preparative validation. Current development activities focus on industrial validation, process optimisation, continuous operation and scale-up of selective lithium recovery from complex secondary raw materials.
SolveLi is also developing an early-stage approach for lithium recovery from spent lithium-ion batteries, particularly LFP-containing materials and black mass. The concept combines mechanochemical pre-treatment with selective molecular extraction, with the aim of recovering lithium without bulk dissolution of the remaining solid material. An important objective is to preserve the Li-depleted residue in a form compatible with established downstream battery-recycling processes.
For POLNORIS, we are interested in cooperation with Norwegian research organisations and industrial partners active in battery recycling, LFP and black-mass processing, hydrometallurgy and solvometallurgy, mechanochemistry, selective lithium recovery, solvent extraction, continuous processing, process scale-up, battery-material characterisation, techno-economic analysis and LCA.
We are particularly interested in partners with access to real industrial battery feedstocks, pilot infrastructure or strong links to battery recyclers. Our goal is to build applied R&D projects combining selective molecular separation chemistry with industrially relevant process development and validation.
