About

The Role of Digital Media in Promoting European Culture among Migrant and Diaspora Communities

  1. Objective and scope of the research – what exactly we want to investigate and which migrant and diaspora communities the research concerns.

  2. Methodology – how data will be collected: surveys, interviews, focus groups, data analysis, analysis of media consumption and audience behaviour, etc.

  3. Identification of barriers – what prevents migrant and diaspora communities from maintaining contact with European culture and participating in cultural life in their countries of residence.

  4. Analysis of cultural needs and expectations – what types of cultural content and forms of communication are most relevant to migrant and diaspora communities.

  5. Development of models and recommendations – what actions can help promote European culture and strengthen cultural participation among migrant and diaspora communities.

  6. Testing solutions – pilot implementation of selected activities, e.g. digital media campaigns, television programmes, online cultural formats or community-oriented projects.

  7. Measurement of results – defining indicators and checking whether the activities increase access to and participation in European culture.

  8. Implementation methods – how the research findings can be used by media organisations, cultural institutions, social organisations or local authorities.

  9. Scaling model – how successful solutions can be applied to other migrant and diaspora communities, regions or European countries.

  10. Long-term monitoring – checking whether the effects are maintained and whether cultural engagement continues after the project has ended.
