Model of Integration and Democratic Resilience for African Migrants in Poland and Norway
Academic Assistant and Lecturer at UNIVERSITY OF LOMZA
ŁOMŻA, Poland
About
The project will develop and validate an interdisciplinary Model of Integration and Democratic Resilience for African Migrants in Poland and Norway. It will examine how individual, economic, social and institutional factors interact to influence long-term integration, participation in community life, trust in public institutions and resilience to disinformation. The research will combine migration and labour-market economics with the analysis of social participation, institutional trust, access to services and exposure to misleading or manipulative content.
A comparative study in Poland and Norway will identify which combinations of factors have the strongest impact on sustainable integration and whether these relationships differ between the two national contexts. The project will include quantitative and qualitative research with migrants from African countries, as well as consultations with public institutions, civil society organisations, employers and service providers.
The main outcome will be a multidimensional assessment model and a practical decision-support mechanism enabling institutions and organisations to better identify individual needs and match migrants with appropriate integration, employment, education, civic participation and information-resilience services. The project will also test whether the new model improves the accuracy and effectiveness of support compared with standard needs-assessment methods.
