About
Building on ALDSI, a POLNORIS follow-up project could develop a transferable satellite-based landslide detection and response service for Norway and Poland. Polish and Norwegian partners would adapt and validate the multi-source deep-learning workflow using Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and NISAR data across contrasting mountain environments, create harmonised training datasets and quality-control methods, and deliver pre-trained models with a repeatable web-based workflow for rapid use after extreme rainfall and snowmelt events. The project would strengthen climate-change adaptation, land-use planning and emergency preparedness, supporting both the European green transition and social resilience.
