CorkCycle is a circular material infrastructure initiative enabling the recovery, traceability and reintegration of post-consumer natural cork into industrial value chains. Operating through the concept of urban cork harvesting, we work with hospitality, wine, and packaging partners across Greece to systematically collect natural cork that would otherwise be lost as waste, and channel it into established recycling and repurposing flows in Portugal. The system is already in operation, functioning as a real-world pilot for circular material recovery, cross-border logistics, and traceability. Beyond collection, CorkCycle provides participating businesses with structured ESG data related to recovered quantities, supporting sustainability reporting and engagement. Our focus is on building scalable, replicable systems for overlooked natural materials, such as cork. We are particularly interested in collaboration within EU-funded projects, contributing as a pilot implementation partner, system operator, and material recovery specialist. We are open to partnerships with research institutions, industry players, public authorities, and innovation actors to co-develop and scale circular material systems across regions.
