Circular High Temperature Electrolytic Cells for Hydrogen Production

Xabier Sevillano

Innovation Technician at Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER)

About

High Temperature Electroysis is a promising technology for hydrogen production that makes use of ceramic materials (YSZ, GDC) and oxied (NiO). The substitution of these materiales with recycled ones coming from alternative value chains (f.e. WEEEs) has not been explored yet, and offers a way for increasing circularity of hydrogen value chain.
