About
The uniqueness of PBF+ comes in the combination of the fibre together with the polyphenols. This prebiotic fibre microencapsulates the bioactive compounds, acting as a carrier. This enhances both bioavailability and bioaccessibility of the polyphenols, ensuring that they reach the large intestine to maximize their absorption.
HYPOCHOLESTEROLEMIC EFFECT
• Reduction of cardiovascular risk: the intake of PBF+ was found to positively modify the lipid profile by significantly reducing total cholesterol and LDL levels by 26 mg/dL and 24 mg/dL, respectively. Additionally, reduction in cardiovascular risk was observed in various atherogenic risk indices. These results are supported by OLICOL human intervention study conducted at University of Navarra.
