BIOSUBSTRATE

Miguel Angel Cubero Marquez

CEO at Ingredalia

Milagro, Navarra, Spain

About

BIOSUBSTRATE aims to develop and industrialize sustainable culture media and growth factors derived from agro-industrial by-products through the use of several technologies. Positioned within industrial biotechnology and the circular bioeconomy, the project seeks to replace conventional, high-cost, and imported culture broths with local, bio-based alternatives that enhance microbial productivity and reduce environmental impact. The initiative requires a multidisciplinary consortium involving agro-food companies supplying biomass streams, biotech and fermentation firms validating microbial performance, technological centers for process and sustainability assessment, engineering partners for scale-up and modular system design, industrial end-users for application testing, and European strategic partners to replicate and expand the circular biomanufacturing model across regions.
