Looking to join a consortium – Functional Biodiversity & Urban Climate Resilience

EverTree is looking to join European consortia working on urban climate resilience, nature-based solutions, biodiversity and sustainable urban transitions.

We bring a data-driven methodology to assess biodiversity as urban infrastructure, connecting environmental challenges with the capacity of urban nature to provide measurable ecosystem services.

Within a consortium, EverTree can contribute to:

• Climate & environmental risk assessment, including heat, drought, air pollution, flooding and stormwater runoff.

• Urban and territorial analysis, assessing how urban morphology and local conditions amplify or mitigate environmental pressures.

• Functional biodiversity assessment, going beyond green coverage to evaluate vegetation based on its critical mass, species functionality and spatial deployment.

• Ecosystem service assessment, including thermal comfort, air pollutant and particulate matter removal, CO₂ capture, water regulation, local biodiversity and human wellbeing.

• Impact & gap analysis, matching environmental pressures with the capacity of existing biodiversity to identify where nature is performing effectively and where intervention is needed.

• Biodiversity strategies and economic assessment, translating the diagnosis into actionable interventions and evaluating their costs, benefits and potential return.

Our approach follows a clear pressure → capacity → adequacy → impact → response framework, helping projects move from environmental data to evidence-based biodiversity interventions and investment decisions.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with cities, universities, research organisations, technology partners and other companies developing innovative approaches to climate-neutral, resilient and biodiversity-positive cities.
