EverTree has developed a proprietary methodology to measure biodiversity as urban infrastructure and assess how effectively it responds to the specific climate and environmental risks of a territory. Our approach identifies key environmental pressures—such as heat, drought, pollution and flooding—accounts for how urban conditions modify these risks, and evaluates existing biodiversity based on its critical mass, functional capacity and spatial deployment. We then match this capacity against environmental demand and exposure to assess its real impact and translate the results into biodiversity strategies and economic valuation.

The key difference is that we do not simply measure how much green space exists, but what biodiversity can actually do, where it delivers those services, and whether it is sufficient to meet the territory’s environmental needs.
