Since its creation in 2001, Valenciennes Métropole has been a driving force behind the renewal of the Valenciennes region and continues to work on behalf of its 200,000 inhabitants.
The urban community focuses its efforts on developing employment opportunities, urban renewal, land use planning, rural life, culture, sports and environmental protection, with the aim of achieving the sustainable development of the region, and improving the quality of life and living environment in its 35 municipalities.
As an European Project Officer within an urban community, my role is to support different municipal departments in developing and managing international cooperation projects. I assist in building strong consortia, ensuring effective project monitoring, and aligning initiatives with European priorities.
I bring prior experience in EU-funded projects on topics such as sustainable tourism, business development, and circular economy, with a focus on fostering innovation and territorial impact.
With the DUT framework, our community would like to explore healthcare access issues in urban areas.
