Dirk Wittowsky is a professor of mobility and urban Planning at the University of Duisburg-Essen. He has over 25 years of experience as a researcher and practitioner in the field of mobility. He studied civil engineering in Essen with a focus on sustainable transport systems and received his PhD from the University of Karlsruhe on public transport information and user acceptance. His research interests focus on the development and design of sustainable transport systems, travel behavior analysis and transport modeling, digitalization and smart mobility.
