Safe and Seamless Integration of Autonomous Micromobility in Multimodal Urban Mobility

Lennart Luttkus

Research Assistant at Chair of Mechatronics - University of Augsburg - Germany

Augsburg, Germany

About

I offer expertise in developing and validating methods for the safe integration of autonomous micromobility vehicles (e-scooters, cargo bikes) into multimodal urban mobility systems. My contribution focuses on simulation-based safety validation, reinforcement and imitation learning approaches, and pedestrian behavior modeling. These methods can strengthen projects that address multimodal travel, inclusion, and climate-neutral city transitions by providing validated safety benchmarks, social compliance models, and transferable simulation toolkits. I bring experience in human-centered design and I am eager to complement broader initiatives by ensuring that autonomous micromobility solutions are robust, socially accepted, and aligned with the DUT vision of safe, inclusive, and sustainable urban mobility.
