Lived Experience for Inclusive Urban Futures

Nicole Thorpe

Director at Living Futures Lab

Munich, Germany

About

I bring real lived experience of chronic illness into urban innovation, offering user insight on fluctuating ability, mobility, and accessibility. I am seeking to join consortia under 15mC (multimodal mobility) and CUE (green/social infrastructure) to co-create inclusive, resilient, and circular cities.

This cooperation opportunity puts lived experience at the heart of urban design and innovation. As founder of the Living Futures Lab, I combine firsthand insight into chronic illness and fluctuating mobility with professional expertise in urban innovation, inclusive place-making, and green/social infrastructure.

What I Offer to Consortia

  • Authentic lived-experience perspective on worthwhile travel time and multimodal journeys.

  • Methods for inclusive co-creation with vulnerable communities and underrepresented groups.

  • Contribution to designing truly accessible green and social infrastructure that fosters health, wellbeing, and social cohesion.

  • Strong experience in ecosystem building and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

What I Am Looking For

I am open to joining consortia as a Co-applicant or Cooperation partner. I am particularly interested in 15mC Topic 1 and CUE Topic 1, where my insights can help consortia deliver sustainable, circular, and human-driven solutions.

  • CUE topic 1 – Resilient green and social infrastructure
