European & African Partnership Networks
About
TheGerman Federal Association for Sustainability (BVNG) offers access to a broad and diverse network of partners in Europe and Africa. These connections allow us to link local urban innovation with global knowledge exchange, ensuring that project results are not only impactful in their immediate context but also transferable across regions.
In Europe, we collaborate with VET institutions, SMEs, and research organizations to design and implement sustainable solutions. We co-develop curricula, circular economy pilots, and participatory urban projects that align with European Green Deal priorities.
In Africa, BVNG works with smallholder networks, NGOs, and local authorities on climate justice, carbon farming, and sustainable value chains. These partnerships highlight the interdependence of urban and rural transitions, and bring a perspective of climate equity and global inclusion into European projects.
Within DUT projects, BVNG can contribute by:
-
Access to transnational networks for co-creation and testing.
-
A platform to scale and replicate solutions across regions.
-
Integration of global perspectives, strengthening the inclusiveness of urban transition projects.
-
Insights into climate justice and sustainable value chains, linking urban and rural transitions.
