Holiday Duplex – ModulCont 2C

The client approached us together with her architect with a clear vision of a holiday home comprising two independent residential units. The project is located in the picturesque mountain foothills of Moravský Karlov, at the meeting point of the Orlické Mountains, the Králický Sněžník Massif, and the Jeseníky Mountains. The result of the successful collaboration between the client, architect Lenka Topilová, and the ModulCont team is a bespoke duplex based on the standard ModulCont 2 C model, carefully adapted to both the client's requirements and the unique characteristics of the site.

As the general contractor, we delivered the project as a complete turnkey solution. Our responsibilities included preparing the full project documentation, obtaining the building permit, managing all related administrative processes, constructing the modular building, installing utility connections, preparing the foundations, and installing a rainwater retention tank.

The duplex was also completed with a fully functional and minimalist interior designed to complement the surrounding natural landscape. The interior features timber wall cladding, bathrooms finished with large-format wall panels, custom-built beds, and bespoke fitted furniture, creating a warm, practical, and elegant living environment for holiday accommodation.

This project demonstrates how the ModulCont modular building system can successfully respond to challenging site conditions while accommodating individual architectural requirements. The result is a contemporary recreational duplex that combines sustainable modular construction, thoughtful design, and high-quality craftsmanship to create comfortable and visually harmonious holiday living.
