The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), on behalf of the European Commission and in collaboration with the Free State of Saxony, Silicon Saxony and the regional innovation stakeholders , is proud to organise the “Clusters Meet Regions” event in Dresden, Germany.

About the Conference

The conference aims to generate insights and foster exchanges that contribute to the further development of cluster policies at regional, national and European level. It will explore how clusters can support innovation uptake, commercialisation and scale-up, strengthen SME competitiveness and internationalisation, and contribute to industrial transformation through ecosystem collaboration and cross-border cooperation.

Building on Saxony's internationally recognised strengths in microelectronics, advanced manufacturing, digital technologies and high tech innovation, the event will showcase how regional excellence can be translated into European partnerships, investment opportunities and collaborative innovation projects. It will also highlight opportunities for cross-border cooperation with Czech and Polish ecosystems, reflecting shared industrial priorities and complementary innovation capacities.

What to Expect

Building on the successful tradition of previous events across Europe, the Saxony edition will bring together clusters, policymakers, innovation actors, research organisations, SMEs and industry representatives for policy dialogue, peer learning and cooperation building. Through high-level discussions and interactive exchanges, participants will explore practical approaches to strengthening technological sovereignty, enhancing industrial competitiveness, supporting SME integration into European value chains and fostering innovation-driven growth.
