The Mission Europe pour la Recherche (MER) was established on 1 January 2024 as a joint European research support structure bringing together, under one umbrella, the European funding support teams of four partner institutions: Aix-Marseille University (amU), CNRS, Inserm and IRD.
MER provides coordinated, personalised and comprehensive support to research units across the Aix-Marseille research ecosystem, covering the full range of activities required to identify, prepare, secure and implement European research and innovation projects. By pooling expertise and resources, MER aims to provide research units with a consistent level of support while tailoring its services to their specific scientific priorities, needs and levels of experience with European funding.
Its activities span the entire European project lifecycle, from early identification of funding opportunities and strategic project development to proposal preparation, submission and the implementation and monitoring of successful projects.
Representing Marseille researchers (AMU, CNRS, Inserm, AP-HM), seeking partners to build or join consortia on NCDs, exposome, predictive biomarkers, personalised medicine, translational & regenerative medicine.
