Patient and caregiver engagement partner for paediatric oncology clinical trial consortia
Fundraising and International Relations Coordinator at Saving Kids with Cancer Foundation
Warsaw, Poland
About
The Saving Kids with Cancer Foundation is a Polish patient organisation supporting approximately 2,000 children with cancer and their families each year. Since 1991, we have worked alongside paediatric oncology centres, healthcare professionals, psychosocial specialists, patients, parents and childhood cancer survivors.
We are looking to join European consortia developing clinical trials and research projects in paediatric oncology. Our primary topic of interest is HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-03, focused on phase 1 and first-in-human clinical trials for biomarker-guided medicines or multi-modal treatment interventions for patients with rare or very rare cancers or cancer subtypes.
We are also interested in HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-10, particularly projects addressing long-term health, continuity of care, quality of life and the implementation of evidence-based interventions for children, young people and childhood cancer survivors.
We can contribute to a consortium through:
-
involvement of children, adolescents, parents and survivors in research;
-
co-design of protocols, consent materials and patient-facing communication;
-
consultation on patient-reported outcomes, trial burden and acceptability;
-
psychosocial and survivorship expertise;
-
communication supporting participant understanding, recruitment and retention in cooperation with clinical sites;
-
stakeholder engagement, dissemination and public communication;
-
sustainability planning and uptake of project results;
-
access to the Polish paediatric oncology community and cooperation with clinical and research partners.
Our research experience includes FORCE, a European initiative developing standards for pragmatic oncology trials led by cancer charities, LiBRha, focused on liquid biopsy in paediatric rhabdomyosarcoma, and the Hope for Children clinical data infrastructure connecting 14 paediatric oncology centres in Poland.
We are interested in collaborating with coordinators, clinical centres, universities, research institutes, patient organisations and companies seeking a patient engagement and communication partner with direct experience in paediatric oncology.
