About
Who we are
The Advanced Therapies Platform at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu is a GMP-certified facility authorised to manufacture CAR-T cell therapies for both paediatric and adult patients. The 1,280 m² facility includes four clean rooms dedicated to the production of cell therapies, gene therapies and tissue-engineered products, supported by state-of-the-art R&D, cryopreservation and storage infrastructures.
The platform supports the full translational pathway from preclinical development to GMP manufacturing and clinical implementation, operating according to the highest European regulatory standards. It actively collaborates with academic institutions, hospitals and industry partners and is part of multiple national and European advanced therapy networks.
We are particularly interested in Horizon Europe projects addressing:
-
Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
-
Cell and gene therapy development.
-
Bio-printing and regenerative medicine.
-
Personalised and precision medicine approaches.
-
AI-driven manufacturing optimisation and quality control.
-
Novel biomarkers for patient stratification and treatment monitoring.
-
Advanced diagnostics supporting therapy selection and monitoring.
-
Innovative clinical translation and scale-up pathways for advanced therapies.
