About
Neshima Medical is building a consortium for HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-08: Development of innovative antimicrobials against pathogens resistant to antimicrobials. Our focus is antimicrobial-resistant respiratory infections, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
WHAT WE OFFER
LiFT™ (Liquid Foam Therapy) is a platform for delivering therapeutics throughout the lungs or to a selected lung region. It uses shear-thinning liquid foam to carry therapeutics through narrowed or obstructed airways into distal lung regions. Our device generates the foam, incorporates the therapeutic and administers it through a thin catheter under controlled pressure. Potential payloads include small molecules, antibodies, antimicrobial proteins and peptides, and other biologics.
Our preclinical work spans airway and microfluidic models, mucus-obstruction models, ex vivo pig lungs and animal studies. We bring pulmonary-delivery technology, formulation and device-engineering expertise, experimental capabilities, and clinical and scientific collaborations.
THERAPEUTIC PARTNERS SOUGHT
A central priority is a partner bringing a promising antimicrobial candidate, relevant efficacy data and an interest in joint development using local pulmonary delivery. We welcome relevant antibacterial and antifungal modalities. We would like to discuss the candidate, existing proof-of-concept data, the pulmonary indication and the development collaboration.
COMPLEMENTARY CONSORTIUM PARTNERS SOUGHT
We also seek partners in clinical microbiology and resistant clinical isolates; biofilm testing; respiratory infection models; pharmacology and PK/PD; toxicology; formulation, analytical development and manufacturing; clinical research; and regulatory development. Experimental facilities and service providers able to undertake substantive research work packages are a high priority.
Our aim is a multidisciplinary consortium of approximately 8 or more partners with complementary responsibilities. Neshima is open to coordinating the consortium or joining a proposal led by another organisation. We welcome discussions that define concrete partner roles, experimental contributions and a joint development plan.
