About

We offer specialized expertise in the molecular, cellular, and physiological mechanisms underlying cardiovascular and cardiometabolic diseases, with a particular focus on heart failure, metabolic dysfunction, and translational cardiovascular research.

Our research addresses key pathways involved in heart failure with preserved and reduced ejection fraction (HFpEF/HFrEF), SGLT2 inhibitor-mediated cardioprotection, gasotransmitter signaling, oxidative stress regulation, and sirtuin-dependent molecular networks. This expertise supports the mechanistic understanding required for the development, validation, and implementation of personalized medicine approaches for cardiovascular, metabolic, and kidney diseases.

We provide advanced capabilities in functional and molecular phenotyping, including:

  • Assessment of myocardial contractility and Ca²⁺ handling

  • Functional characterization of cardiovascular disease models

  • Quantification of H₂S, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and redox signaling pathways

  • Gene and protein expression analyses (RT-qPCR, immunoblotting)

  • Spectroscopic and imaging-based methodologies

  • Mechanistic validation of biomarkers and therapeutic targets

  • Preclinical proof-of-concept and translational studies

Our expertise complements partners involved in clinical research, patient stratification, biomarker discovery, multi-omics integration, systems biology, and digital health. I can contribute to the generation of mechanistic evidence supporting disease classification, validation of predictive and prognostic biomarkers, and translation of research findings into patient-tailored diagnostic and therapeutic solutions.
