About

IDTM (Institute for Digital Tech Management), Switzerland, brings interdisciplinary expertise in digital innovation, human-centred design, participatory design, and ethics of AI with a focus on developing responsible, inclusive and evidence-based digital solutions.

We are currently coordinating THRIVE, a €3.47 million Horizon Europe project (2026–2030) involving 13 European partners. THRIVE investigates how digital technologies, including generative AI, influence adolescents' self-regulated learning and emotional well-being. The project combines longitudinal mixed-methods research involving approximately 4,000 adolescents across seven European countries with the co-design and evaluation of AI-supported reflective interventions: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101286779

We are interested in contributing to Horizon Europe Health consortia through several complementary capabilities:

  • Human-centred AI and digital innovation: User requirements, participatory design, usability, explainability, trust and responsible adoption of AI-enabled health technologies, including Virtual Human Twins and clinical decision-support systems.

  • Stakeholder engagement and implementation: Co-design with young people and other stakeholders, interdisciplinary collaboration, and translating research into practical guidance and scalable solutions.

  • Responsible AI and inclusion: Addressing ethical, societal and accessibility considerations in the development and evaluation of digital health interventions.

For Virtual Human Twins, we could contribute particularly to human-centred design, user interaction, trust, explainability and adoption by healthcare professionals and patients, complementing partners responsible for biomedical modelling and clinical validation.

For prevention and management of non-communicable diseases in children and young people, we could contribute youth-centred digital intervention design, behavioural self-regulation approaches, participatory research and implementation evaluation, particularly alongside clinical and public-health partners working with underserved populations.

We welcome opportunities to join interdisciplinary consortia as a research partner or work-package leader, bridging technological innovation, behavioural science and real-world implementation.
