Patient-Centred Decision-Making and Implementation Science for the Prevention and Management of Chronic Diseases in Children and Young People

Postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven

Leuven, Belgium

About

I am a researcher with expertise in patient-centred healthcare decision-making and implementation science, interested in contributing to collaborative projects addressing the prevention and management of chronic non-communicable diseases in children and young people, with a focus on patient-centred healthcare decision-making, patient and public involvement, and implementation science.

My research focuses on understanding patient preferences, incorporating patient perspectives into healthcare decision-making, and supporting the implementation of evidence-based approaches in routine healthcare. I am particularly interested in how healthcare interventions and services can be designed and implemented to better reflect the needs, preferences, and experiences of patients and their families.

Within this call, I would be interested in contributing methodological expertise in patient preference research, patient and public involvement (PPI), and implementation science. Potential areas of collaboration include developing and evaluating person-centred interventions, identifying barriers and facilitators to implementation, engaging relevant stakeholders in research and intervention development, and assessing the acceptability, feasibility, and sustainability of interventions targeting chronic diseases in children and young people.

I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary and international partnerships that bridge clinical research, public health, behavioural science, and health services research to ensure that effective interventions are not only developed but also implemented successfully and equitably in real-world settings.
