Virgobit: Wearable and AI Data Platform for Home-Based Long Term Monitoring
CEO / Neuroscientist at Virgobit GmbH
Münster, Germany
About
Virgobit builds smartphone-based platforms for synchronized, long-term acquisition of up to five of many supported wearable sensors, including EEG, ECG/HRV, motion and sleep. For smooth transition the platform features an operator dashboard supporting data handling, design of individualized questionnaires, and definition of scheduled cognitive/motor tasks. Our platforms Spica enables remote health data collection, including mental and behavioural disorders such as Parkinson, Dystonia, Depression, affective disorder, or children’s mental health. Complementary, BraingoMo offers smartphone-based neurofeedback applied and tested in various areas, including affective-disorder research. Concluded case studies have been performed in cooperation with many commercial and scientific partners, including Polar Electro Oy,Charité University, TUM, EPFL, Mastricht University, and Düsseldorf university. During this call we seek to join a hospital-led consortium to deliver home-based monitoring, AI-based data analysis and anonymized data collection compliant with the FAIR principles. We are looking forward to supporting you and your team during early-stage trials of combined drug and multidisciplinary interventions that improve quality of life of affected individuals, specifically related to calls of destination 3 and 5. In addition. Finally, our products are modular and can be customized to your individual requirements, for example by integrating specific sensors or custom-designed cognitive and behavioural tasks.
Proposed Cooperation and activities
· Join as technology/data partner and lead the digital monitoring work package, using multimodal wearables for long-term monitoring in home-based or clinical environments.
· Combine AI-based analysis with patient-centered assessments strategies (motor, cognitive, EMA), to enable personalized strategies that aim to track disease progression and benefits of clinical interventions.
· Boost patient engagement and adherence to the combined intervention through EMA, gamified tasks, a reward system and if required, additional neurofeedback.
Expected Impact
· Home-based, real-world data strengthens trial evidence and reaches participants with limited mobility.
· Higher retention and compliance with regulatory requirements through anonymized data transmission, individually designed tasks and a reward-based patient engagement system.
· Our established data-transmission and stewardship systems ensure smooth connection of data recording and evaluation, while operating on FAIR data handling principles.
· Our wide international network supports stakeholder engagement, fostering connections with health care professionals, and planing of joint activities.
