Explainable AI for personalised prevention and care
Researcher and Project Manager in AI and Automatic Control for Healthcare at Sapienza University of Rome
Rome, Italy
About
Who we are
At the Department of Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome, we develop AI and control methodologies for personalised, patient-centred healthcare. Our team is Task Leader in the ongoing Horizon Europe SHIELD project, leading work on AI models for risk stratification and disease progression, and has contributed to the national CADUCEO platform for AI-supported prevention and diagnosis.
What we offer
-
AI-based risk stratification and disease progression monitoring on heterogeneous longitudinal data (clinical, behavioural, socio-economic)
-
Deep learning for medical image analysis and AI-supported diagnostics
-
Federated learning and privacy-preserving model training across hospitals
-
Explainable and robust AI for trustworthy clinical decision support
-
Data preprocessing, missing-data handling and synthetic data augmentation
-
Safe reinforcement learning and data-driven control for therapy optimisation (e.g. automated insulin delivery in type 1 diabetes)
-
Experience in technical coordination, deliverables and Horizon Europe proposal preparation, as coordinator, work package leader or partner
