About
Corsano Health, a Dutch digital health SME, is looking to join a Horizon Europe consortium addressing HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-CARE-02: Personalised approaches to reduce risks from Adverse Drug Reactions due to administration of multiple medications.
Polypharmacy presents significant challenges for patient safety, particularly among older and multimorbid populations. Continuous monitoring of physiological parameters could complement medication records, pharmacogenomic information and laboratory results by identifying changes in patients' health status between clinical visits.
Corsano's CardioWatch platform supports medical-grade remote monitoring of cardiovascular, respiratory and behavioural parameters, including heart rate, ECG, SpO₂, respiratory parameters, temperature, activity and sleep. Raw physiological sensor data can also be made available for research purposes under appropriate arrangements.
Potential contributions to a consortium include:
-
Continuous physiological monitoring of patients receiving multiple medications.
-
Longitudinal assessment of changes following medication initiation, adjustments or discontinuation.
-
Investigation of wearable-derived markers potentially associated with adverse drug reactions.
-
Personalised baseline modelling and identification of unusual physiological changes.
-
Integration of wearable data with medication records, pharmacogenomic, laboratory and EHR information.
-
Contribution to AI-based risk assessment and clinical decision-support approaches.
-
Prospective evaluation of monitoring-based methods for identifying treatment-related physiological changes.
-
Remote monitoring in clinical and real-world studies involving multimorbid patients.
Potential applications include cardiovascular and respiratory effects, changes in activity or sleep, and other measurable physiological responses to medication combinations.
We are seeking consortia involving clinical pharmacologists, geriatricians, pharmacogenomics experts, hospitals, medication-management specialists and AI or clinical decision-support developers.
Corsano could contribute as a technology and research partner, potentially leading tasks related to continuous monitoring, wearable-derived biomarkers, longitudinal data integration and clinical validation.
Our aim is to complement pharmacological and clinical expertise with an additional physiological data layer to support safer, more personalised medication management.
