About

We have strong experience in projects on worker health and wellbeing as well as in clinical populations such as low back pain and neck pain. We work with chronic disease in a life-course perspective and develop and facilitate interventions (exercise, physical activity, CT-based interventions, digital tools and apps) and text their effectiveness and implementation in all designs.

We have strong experience in working in EU-funded consortia and have lead and participated in several consortia and applications with the EU program.

populations we have worked with before:

  • healthcare workforce (surgeons, dentist, healthcare workers, sonographers, endoscopists, lab technicians).

  • Physically heavy labor (carpenters, blue collar workers, industry techs, stockhouse workers, slaugtherhouse workers, wind technicians, cleaning staff).

  • sedentary workers (office workers, lab technicians).

  • Low back pain, neck pain, knee or hip OA.

core research competencies.

  • Developing interventions in a systematic approach (intervention mapping and MRC framework, feasibility and piloting)

  • Evaluating effectiveness (RCT-designs), implementation (hybrid design and mixed methods), economic evaluations.

  • stakeholder engagement and participatory research methods (co-creation, citizen science ect.)

  • Measuring work exposure (accelerometry, EMG, force, motion analysis).

  • Measuring physical capacity and function (aerobic, muscular, and functional capacity, objectively and self-reported).
