Non-invasive gynaecological biomarkers and diagnostics (GyLDa platform), focus on endometriosis
Head of Business Development & Innovation at Mimark Diagnostics S.L

About
Mimark Diagnostics is a women-led IVD SME based in Barcelona. We develop diagnostic tests for gynaecological conditions, based on protein biomarkers measured in minimally or non-invasive gynaecological fluid samples. Our proprietary GyLDa platform covers the full path from biomarker discovery and verification to immunoassay development and clinical validation. Today it supports two programmes: GyLDEndo (endometriosis) and GyLDEC (endometrial cancer). The platform can be applied to other gynaecological conditions. Mimark is an EIC Accelerator beneficiary and a member of the EIC Scaling Club, which supports Europe’s most promising deep-tech scale-ups.
We are looking to join consortia as a partner, bringing:
-
Biomarker expertise in gynaecology: discovery, verification and clinical validation of protein biomarker panels in gynaecological fluid samples.
-
Endometriosis know-how: a condition with an average diagnostic delay of several years, which often begins in adolescence and has a large impact on quality of life and health systems.
-
Assay development and translation: turning biomarker panels into regulated IVD tests (IVDR), with experience in clinical study design, market access and reimbursement planning.
-
Clinical and industrial network: collaborations with gynaecology hospitals and with IVD manufacturers.
What we can contribute, for example:
-
Earlier, non-invasive detection of endometriosis in adolescents and young women.
-
Diagnostic pathways that reduce reliance on invasive procedures in gynaecological care.
-
Biomarker data and clinical cohorts to support AI-based models of disease progression and treatment response.
-
Biomarker panels and sample expertise for gynaecological use cases in decentralised or point-of-care testing.
-
Extending our biomarker approach to other gynaecological conditions within the consortium’s scope.
We are interested in the following Horizon Europe Cluster Health 2027 topics: HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-10, HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01-two-stage, HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-TOOL-01-two-stage and HORIZON-HLTH-2027-02-IND-02-two-stage. Our priority is endometriosis, and we are open to projects on other gynaecological conditions. We welcome contact from coordinators, clinical centres, AI/data partners and diagnostic device developers.
