SME partner for explainable AI, compliance as code and real world validation in healthcare reimbursement
Founder at Finakis
Istanbul, Türkiye
About
Finakis is the payment integrity layer between hospitals and health insurers. We turn reimbursement regulation and policy terms into executable, versioned, auditable rules and read clinical documents with our own in house medical language model built for claims. The model finds the evidence, the rule engine decides what it means, and every finding is traceable to a regulatory provision and to the clinical document behind it. The architecture is multi payer and multi country by design. In production with hospital groups in Türkiye.
What we offer to a consortium:
-
Regulatory compliance as code and regulatory change tracking: a work package on turning clinical, reimbursement or safety rules into executable, auditable logic.
-
Clinical document reading with evidence linking: a domain language model that extracts and cites evidence from discharge summaries, reports and notes, designed for auditability rather than black box output.
-
Explainable, auditable decision support with human oversight: a traceability layer for AI tools in healthcare, aligned with trustworthy AI and AI Act expectations.
-
Real world validation: hospital group environments in Türkiye for clinical NLP, compliance automation and health system interventions, with insurer environments on our roadmap.
What we are looking for:
coordinators and consortia preparing Horizon Europe Cluster 1 2027 proposals under
-
HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-08 (frontier AI models for healthcare),
-
HLTH-2027-03-TOOL-04 (Virtual Human Twins for clinical decision support),
-
HLTH-2027-02-DISEASE-01 (innovative healthcare interventions for NCDs) and
-
HLTH-2027-01-CARE-02 (adverse drug reactions in multiple medication),
where an SME with regulatory rules expertise, a medical language model and a hospital validation site adds value.
We join as work package contributor and use case provider, not as coordinator. We are also preparing a Eurostars Call 12 proposal (deadline 4 March 2027) as SME coordinator and welcome health IT or insurance technology SMEs as partners.
