About

Professional Profile & Expertise

I am an Associate Professor at Mersin University, Faculty of Sports Science, with a dual academic background in Sports Sciences (PhD) and Anatomy (MS). My recent research (2024-2026) bridges the gap between functional anatomy and sports science, with a particular focus on the biomechanical properties of the fascia and its role in musculoskeletal health.

Recent Research Focus (2024-2026)

* Fascia Biomechanics & Myofascial Training: Currently leading projects on the effects of myofascial training on crural fascia structure and jumping performance. Recently published work includes the biomechanical analysis of the crural fascia and its role in stress reactions.

* Advanced Anatomical Mapping:

Specialized in the morphometric description of fascial tunnels and nerve courses (e.g., superficial fibular nerve) to improve clinical outcomes in sports injuries.

* Technology-Driven Performance Analysis:

Integrating EOG, Deep Learning, and machine learning models to predict athletic potential and analyze quiet eye durations in high-precision sports like archery.

Contribution to Consortia

* Technical Skills: Expert in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging, cadaveric dissection, and biomechanical performance testing.

* Editorial & Dissemination: Serving as a Guest Editor for BMC Sports Science (Q1) and referee for high-impact journals (e.g., Frontiers in Physiology), I can lead work packages related to scientific dissemination and quality assurance.

* Multidisciplinary Network: Experience in coordinating international and national projects (H2020, TÜBİTAK), providing a bridge between anatomy, sports science and digital health technologies.
