Looking for Consortium: Emergency Medicine Research Group

International Project Manager at FINBA

OVIEDO, Spain

About

The Emergency Medicine Research Group at ISPA-FINBA, located at the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), is a high-capacity clinical research environment within the public healthcare system of the Principality of Asturias (Spain).

Our Emergency Department (ED) manages approximately 140,000 patients annually, providing access to a large, heterogeneous real-world population and early-stage disease presentations. This enables efficient patient recruitment, high-quality prospective data collection, and robust outcome assessment in acute care settings.

What we offer:

  • Strong recruitment capacity for multicenter clinical studies

  • Expertise in real-world evidence generation in emergency settings

  • Experience in prospective data collection and clinical research workflows

  • Access to early-phase patient pathways in acute and urgent care

Collaboration interests:
We are interested in participating as a recruitment center and clinical/scientific partner in European collaborative projects, particularly within the Horizon Europe Cluster Health framework. Our main focus areas include:

  • Cardiovascular diseases in acute care

  • Sex and gender differences in emergency medicine

  • Patient stratification and outcomes in urgent and emergent conditions

We are open to engaging with academic, clinical, and industry partners to strengthen proposals and contribute to high-impact, patient-centered research.
