Virology & Immunology Expertise
Virologist, Research Group Leader at Universtiy of Tuebingen
Tübingen, Germany
About
Our laboratory brings long-standing expertise in virology and immunology to collaborative research projects, with a particular emphasis on RNA viruses such as HIV. Our work spans fundamental and translational aspects of viral pathogenesis, viral evolution, and the complex interplay between viruses and the host immune response. We are experienced in studying both viral and host determinants that shape infection outcomes, immune activation, and antiviral defense mechanisms.
We offer access to modern infrastructure, including fully equipped BSL-3 facilities. Our experimental portfolio includes a broad range of state-of-the-art tools to monitor and quantify viral replication, such as reporter viruses and advanced molecular and cellular assays. These approaches allow precise, mechanistic insights into virus–host interactions and immune responses across multiple experimental systems.
