Prof. Silvia Angeletti is a Full Professor of Clinical Microbiology at Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, with extensive experience in infectious diseases, clinical and molecular microbiology, and advanced diagnostic technologies.
Her research activity focuses on:

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) mechanisms and surveillance

Molecular and culture-based diagnostics for bacterial, viral and fungal infections

Clinical microbiology applied to patient management, sepsis and hospital-acquired infections

Evaluation and implementation of innovative diagnostic tools, including rapid and high-throughput approaches

Integration of omics technologies and laboratory data into translational and clinical research
Prof. Angeletti has strong experience in multidisciplinary and international research projects, bridging basic research, clinical practice and diagnostic innovation. She is interested in participating in Horizon Europe collaborative projects as a partner contributing clinical expertise, access to well-characterized clinical samples, diagnostic validation, and interpretation of microbiological data in a translational perspective.
