Corsano – Continuous Digital Monitoring to Improve Quality of Life and Care Pathways in Cancer
Grants Manager at Corsano Health

About
Corsano Health is an agile SME with substantial experience in international clinical research and innovation projects, contributing validated medical-grade technology, data infrastructure, and research know-how. The intention is to join an existing or forming consortium as a specialised technology and research partner, rather than to act as coordinator or lead applicant. Corsano seeks collaboration with academic centres, hospitals, patient organisations, and other industry partners to integrate continuous monitoring into Mission Cancer projects and to jointly develop, validate, and scale impactful solutions.
This proposal aims to integrate continuous, medical-grade wearable monitoring into Horizon Europe Mission Cancer research and innovation actions to improve cancer care, survivorship, and quality of life. The concept builds on validated multi-sensor wrist-worn devices and a secure cloud-based data platform enabling long-term, real-world collection of physiological and behavioural parameters relevant to cancer patients across the full care pathway.
Continuous monitoring of vital signs, activity, sleep, cardiovascular parameters, and stress-related indicators can generate high-resolution longitudinal datasets that complement clinical, imaging, molecular, and patient-reported data. These data streams support earlier detection of deterioration, treatment-related side effects, functional decline, and quality-of-life changes, while reducing patient burden and enabling more personalised, patient-centred care.
The proposal is particularly relevant for Mission Cancer topics addressing quality of life, palliative and supportive care, survivorship, pragmatic clinical trials, and digital health integration. The approach enables home-based and hybrid care models, supports decentralised and pragmatic study designs, and contributes to equitable access by enabling remote follow-up across regions and healthcare systems.
Corsano Health would contribute CE-MDR certified and FDA-cleared wearable technology, validated in large-scale clinical studies, together with GDPR- and HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure offering access to raw data, analytics, and APIs. Within a consortium, Corsano can support device deployment, data acquisition, integration with clinical systems, and collaboration on advanced analytics, including AI-driven risk and outcome modelling.
The overall objective is to strengthen evidence generation for cancer care innovations, improve patient quality of life, and accelerate the digital transformation of cancer research and healthcare systems in line with the EU Cancer Mission objectives.
