Sex-specific digital cardiovascular biomarkers from continuous wrist-worn ECG-equivalent and PPG monitoring for early CVD detection
Grants Manager at Corsano Health

About
Corsano Health is a European medtech SME providing CE-MDR and FDA-cleared multi-sensor wearables and secure cloud solutions for continuous physiological monitoring. Its technology delivers high-quality HR, ECG-equivalent, HRV, SpO₂, blood pressure, sleep and activity data for clinical research and real-world studies, with strong expertise in digital biomarkers, large-scale deployments and GDPR-compliant data pipelines.
For DISEASE-11, Corsano Health offers clinically validated wrist-worn ECG-equivalent and PPG-based continuous monitoring to derive and validate sex-specific digital biomarkers of cardiovascular disease. The project concept focuses on QT dynamics, heart-rate variability, nocturnal physiology, circadian regulation and recovery metrics as early indicators of subclinical cardiovascular dysfunction, analysed in sex-stratified adult cohorts. Corsano will supply devices, conduct analytical validation against clinical ECG, deliver harmonised FAIR time-series datasets and contribute a regulatory evidence package for digital biomarker qualification. This enables improved sex-specific risk assessment and early detection models, addressing a major gap in cardiovascular research and personalised prevention.
