HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-CARE-03 – Identifying and addressing low-value care in health and care systems
EU Programme Manager at Fundacio Eurecat
Barcelona, Spain
About
Eurecat contributes an integrated, evidence-driven approach to identify, measure, and reduce low-value care across clinical pathways. We deploy an embodied “care-pathway observatory” that standardises how routine clinical and care tasks are executed and recorded, translating guidelines and hospital SOPs into auditable, explainable workflows. This enables consistent capture of real-world process data, resource use, and outcomes, supporting robust detection of unwarranted variation, overuse, and misuse. In parallel, we bring advanced digital health tools for prescription analysis, combining real-world prescribing data with AI models to identify systematic deviations, unsafe patterns, and improvement opportunities. Together, these capabilities allow health systems to test de-implementation strategies, quantify efficiency and quality gains, and support patient-centred decision-making with transparent indicators suitable for policy uptake and system-level scaling.
